About me

Welcome to my site!
I’m Matteo Fasce; I’m 29 years old and I live in Genoa, Italy.
Since I was a child I had passion for ships, especially for passengers ships and ferries.
Even if it is possibile to find on the Web many sites on ships, I’ve never found one specialized on my beloved operator, Corsica Ferries Sardinia Ferries. The “yellow boats” became my favourite in consequence of the many travels I’ve made to Corsica; in addition often it was the unique choice to go in the “Île de Beauté”.
This site is, for me, a hobby so it hasn’t any pretension except the knowledge of the “Corsica Ferries’s world”.
I’m sorry for possibles drawbacks in the pages’s visualization or other kind but I’m not a very expert of informatic. If you’ll find some problem or more simply you would like to to take part in the site’s building or if still you’ll find mistakes or inexactnesses, please send me an e-mail at:
feish@hotmail.it.
The main part of the pictures you can find on the site is mine: please feel free to download them for personal use. Please let me know if you wish to publish them: of course in any case my name has to be quoted. If you like to use them for another internet site, I would prefer that the site is no-profit.
The same things are also valid for the pictures on this site, which are not mine.
Thank you for your visit and I hope you’ll have a good stay!

I got the idea to create a site dedicated to Corsica Ferries already many years ago, but only recently I dared to put it into action. If today you can visit these pages, it is also thank to many people who have helped, advised and encouraged me, when I was creating them. Besides, to do this work completely alone would have been very difficult (at least for me, who do not know very much about computers!) and could have brought to very simple and bare pages.
For the reasons above, I must thank many people, but in a special way:
Michele Lulurgas, for having encouraged me and helped technically in creating this site (he is experienced, as he created the wonderful site Adriatic and Aegean Ferries), because he was always helpful, he has a large knowledge, due to his passion, as big as mine, for ferries, for the information that he gave me and last, but not least, for his superb photos.
Gabriele Campoccio, for being always available and patient with me, for his technical knowledge, his countless explanations and the many information: really a very good friend!
Maurice Francheteau, for his participation, for his pictures and other material I used to realize the site.
Romain Roussel, also, for his participation, his advice, information and his help as “webmaster” more expert than me (see his fantastic site Mare Nostrum Corsica).
Davide Tognolini, Roberto Andresini and Eustachio Patalano, true friends, who have been close to me and therefore very helpful when I embarked on this long way and, obviously, for their photos!
Mitchell Bruce who, with his site Mitchell's Tasmanian ferry site, was of big assistance for the precious informations and for the photos of the "Tasmanian career" of the Mega Express Four.
Alessandro Orfanù, Julien Imbert, Nicolas Nogues and Pascal, with their excellent photos.
I point out that with these few lines I wish to thank without distinction whoever has helped me: and “help”, for me, is not only to receive pictures, materials or news to publish, but also advices, opinions or constructive criticisms. For this reason I hope I will be soon able to add other names to this list: whoever would like to co-operate or give suggestions will be welcome!
